2012 Early Spring Clinic in Sweden

Nu är han på väg tillbaka till Sverige, Ralp Hull som många av oss redan känner till. Han har varit här vid ett flertal tillfällen både för att hålla clinics men också för att tävla. Ralp Hull har under sina besök fått en växande skara elever och han har blivit populär att träna för då han inte bara är duktig ryttare själv utan anses av många besitta förmågan att vidareförmedla kunskapen på ett pedagogiskt och lungt sätt.
Under fjolåret fanns han också med på Ranch Horse Classic där han bland annat tog hem vinsten i SRCHA Open Bridle Spectacular tillsammans med Magnus Nilssons Smart Camolena.

Och nu kommer han tillbaka för att hålla två exiklusiva clinics i Sverige. Det blir cutting/cowhorse-clinics och platserna är Varberg  den 21-22 april och hos Ronny Åman i Norrköping den 28-29 april.

Lite info från arrangören om Ralp Hull:

Ralph Hull has been training horses in California and Texas for more than fifteen years.  He has worked for some of the best in the business including Greg Ward and Bobby Ingersoll.  He has been in the World Champion Reined Cow Horse Snaffle Bit Limited Open Finals, and the top ten of the NRCHA World Championship Open and Limited Hackamore as well as being in the South Central Region Top Ten multiple times in the Open Two Rein and Open Hackamore. Ralph was the 2010 Open Bridle Spectacular Reserve Champion and the 2011 Open Bridle Spectacular Champion at High Chaparell, Sweden. Ralph currently runs the Double HH Ranch in Mineral Wells Texas.

Big stop and really cow-smart.  He is really progressing well in his cow horse training and is currently being shown in the hackamore.  He has a long career ahead of him in the show pen; see the video above of his first show where he came in second!

“Hidalgo” is a really flashy, eye-catching stallion by Like A Diamond who has sired earners of more than $1,200,000.  Hidalgo has been shown once and won that show!  Extremely easy to train.  Excellent for a non-pro or open rider in the cutting or cowhorse or reining arena.  He will also make a superb roping horse.  Pretty mover with a fancy turn-around. Be sure to watch his video to the end and see Ralph take off his bridle and spin him around bridle-less!

Last Day at High Chapparal Show

We had a great last day at the Ranch Horse Classic at High Chapparal; what a good show all of our friends had. Jamey Burrus came in at third place in the Dummy Tying aboard All About Tee in between sessions giving roping lessons.

Rolf Westgaard and Roosta By The Bay competed in the non-pro herdwork finals; congratulations on making the finals. What an accomplishment your second year of showing. Björn Karlsson and All About Tee had a really great run ( video coming soon). Magnus had a horse place second and one place sixth in the Open Bridle Spectacular. Peter Jonasson made the finals in the Team Sorting while Tina Jonasson competed in her first horse show ever and loved it! Jon Enemark placed in several cutting events and competed nicely in the Bridleless Cutting. Congratulations to everyone! Can't wait for next year!

 

Good First Day For the friend of The Double HH Ranch!

Good friends, good fun, good show – “Everything Else is Just a Horse Show”!

Started the day off with Björn and Jamey roping on All About Tee.

We moved on to the ranch cutting and Jon brought home fourth place.

Björn had a beautiful run in the Rookie Limited aboard All About Tee.

 

Last Day of the Clinic

On the last day of the clinic, we worked cows the entire day with a short break for a backwards race, took a nice group photo, and finished up the clinic with some spectacular Swedish sorbet and Jamey’s Rope Sermon. Great day! Lots of fun, learning, and catching up with old friends and making new ones (both equine & human).

After some back-up races, we worked cattle out of the heard in the morning.

Day One, Dry Work in the morning

Got acquainted and re-acquainted and then worked on dry work. We also had a ballet demonstration. Then we got re-acquainted with Lasse’s food and that was a real treat; worth flying across the world for!
